Last Sunday (like more than a week ago!), we skipped church and went to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and took a ride on the Scenic Railroad.
Mason started out the day with chocolate chip pancakes. Most notable thing about the picture - he grabbed the hat and put it on, all by himself. And crooked too!Beautiful day to be outside at CVNP!
We had to be there about 30 minutes early to get tickets, and then wait for the train to come.
Kinda loud for the little guy.
Mason had fun bouncing around on the seats and looking out the window. When we sat down he spotted a "red" (rusty) bridge. He was quite interested and excited and wanted all of us to see it. (Nonie - red bridge. Oh, I see it. Grandpa - red bridge. Yep, there it is. Daddy...Mommy...And so on...)
Somewhat posed and Mason's looking at/towards the camera? Good picture for us!
The infamous red (rusty) bridge.
Nonie put bugs down Mason's shirt!
Look at that!
We passed another (unused) train.
Sitting, for a few seconds. The train was pretty empty so we had our pick of seats. Mason enjoyed the freedom!
After the ride was finished, we drove for a bit and found a nice picnic area. Perfectly shaded and cool to enjoy lunch on a hot day.
I love how Mason's hanging onto Nonie's shoulder so he can get another bite of food. He's doing pretty well at sitting or standing at a picnic table to eat.
They were too busy eating to stop and pose. So, you take what you get!
Ahh...relaxing! Our day trip was made perfect by a stop at Strickland's for ice cream!
