Brian called me on Tuesday afternoon to say he'd scored some tickets for the Bridgestone Golf Invitational practice round at Firestone Golf Course in Akron...for the next day, Wednesday. He called a few clients but no one could go on such short notice. So...Dad, Mason, and I lucked out and went with Brian.

We had to park at an airport a few miles away and then we were shuttled to the course via yellow school buses.
Couldn't tell who it was, but it looked important!
As we entered the course, we posed next to the Bridgestone Invitational statue.
Lots and lots of walking! Since it was the practice round, there wasn't a specific schedule. We walked to several holes and watched whoever was golfing there.
First we got some food and beverages. Brian also had $80 in food vouchers. (Being Mennonite) We had to spend it all! We were stuffed by the end! Actually, in order to spend our remaining $35, Brian got three bottles of pop, one bottle of water, two ice cream bars, and one hot dog. Those things totaled $35. Can you say expensive!??!
Since they didn't have the sign holder with the person's name, we had to look at the name on the golf bag and we couldn't always tell who it was.

Mason had fun on the sidewalk with his cars and trucks while we sat and waited for more golfers.

Beautiful day! It wasn't too hot (Brian might say otherwise) and a nice day to be outside!
Firestone Country Club
When we got back to the main area, there were several guys out practicing. Vijay Singh on the far left with the person in the red, Stuart Appleby on the right.
Sergio Garcia signing autographs before running inside. We didn't get a picture of it, but I got Martin Kaymer to autograph dad's ticket. He was in this same area, just closer to the building and I stepped in line and he took my ticket. I felt so cool!
Tired chicken on the way home! He napped for about an hour in the stroller, but was still sleepy. We had a fun time and it was neat to be there and see what a tournament looks like in person. And it was free - even better!
