Trip to PA

Last Thursday mom, Mason and I took off for a weekend in PA. We left around 8:45 and had a pretty good drive. We didn't get into any traffic or construction and Mason was generally happy and entertained.

Even though he doesn't turn one for a few more weeks, we turned his car seat around so we could see him and keep him happy. He seemed to like looking out the front and sides and looking at us.

We stopped at Brian's parent's house for dinner on Thursday night before going on to my aunt's house.

Mason got to play with his grandpa, mimi, and uncles. It took him a bit to warm up to his family he hasn't seen since Christmas, but after a bit he was happily playing with the new toys.

Mimi was soooo happy to see Mason!

He liked walking over Neal's feet and carrying this little toy around.

We had a good visit and are looking forward to a longer time for Mason's birthday.

Looking at the fan with great-nana. Mason still loves fans!

Hanging out before dinner with nana and pop-pop.

Mason was in a bit of a bad mood after dinner. Luckily for him, his daddy was home and got on the computer for a little chat session.

They had a good time laughing and being silly together! It was so cute to watch Mason talk to Brian via ichat.

One of the main reasons for our trip to PA was to meet my cousin Tonya's 5 week old baby girl, Iva. She was so cute and snuggly. Just like a little baby should be!

My aunt, Martene (Iva's Mimi) had an afternoon visit/meet Iva party for the family in the area. It was fun to see several of my aunts, uncles, cousins, and their children. It was also fun to see Mason and Andrew "play" together.

Mason now has his very own car! Remember this post about the cute little car? Well, I found one at the Care and Share Thrift Shop on Saturday and Mason is happily driving it around.

He doesn't say much, but I'm pretty sure he likes his new set of wheels.

Such a little sweetheart!

Mason liked Iva. He was pretty gentle with her and liked to touch. He was a bit jealous that his Nonie was holding Iva instead of him! He also pulled Iva's binky out of her mouth. Pretty cute to see!

Tonya, Anthony, and Iva.

On the drive home Mason wasn't quite the angel he was on the drive out, but he wasn't bad. He really resisted a nap, but finally caved.

It was only about 40 minutes long, but he woke up happier and a little more willing to drive. Luckily we only had about an hour to go once he woke up.

It was so good to visit family and meet Iva. We had a good weekend away!

Mason is getting so big! what a cutie. That's so cool that he could chat with daddy while you were away. We're huge fans of skype and use it all the time to stay in touch with family! Glad you had a great trip!
