Spring is Springing

I took these pictures last week, so really I should add an update to this post to show how most all of these have changed. I love spring!

Several years ago we planted this crabapple and we're always happy to see green buds in the spring. It's small and the ground in our yard isn't the best, it's actually terrible, so we're always happy when things live!

Love the color, brightness, and beauty this PJM rhododendron adds to our front bed.

Mason admiring the weeping cherry at the front of the house.

Beautiful blooms that kind of look like popcorn when you look at the tree quickly from inside the house.

Lots of hosta. Lots.

Brian cleaned out and cut back stuff a few weeks ago. But as you can see, we still need to remove the leaves, debris, and work up the ground before we can mulch. Oh rain, please stop raining.

Poppies.

Peonies, bee balm, and something else. Kind of hard to remember everything before it gets bigger or blooms.

Catmint.

Bee balm and black-eyed Susans.

The herbs are taking over.

Our neighbors hyacinths. We don't have any spring bulbs (to Brian's dismay and sadness), so we have to enjoy theirs!

Again, a different neighbors daffodils. They sure are bight, cheery, and springy even from across the road.

Virburnum. Love when this one blooms!
