A few weeks ago we took a walking tour of our own flower beds and garden. We spent most of Memorial Day weekend weeding and mulching our flower beds. We thought we would never finish, but alas, we did and now we get to enjoy them!
Mason enjoyed being toted around for the walking tour. Cheesy!
Amazing how several weeks later (now) everything is so much bigger and has changed.
Same with the garden - it's growing! We ate our first zucchini a few nights ago and have many more on the horizon! Last night Brian grilled sausage and a bunch of mixed veggies, all from our garden - potatoes, carrots, zucchini, onion, and broccoli (store bought). Yum!
Slow and steady wins the race, right? Brian's been working on this "patio" project for a few weeks. This past Saturday he had a big chunk of time to make headway. It's changed from this picture - the sod is gone, lots of dirt has been removed, and he's ready for the stone. Yea!
Such a pretty sunset!
It will be very nice to have a little space in our backyard to put our picnic table and a few chairs. And then we won't have to mow that awful area! This is where we store wood for the winter, so we haven't done anything major because we need the space and don't want to damage a nice patio. So, we're just doing a stone/pea gravel patio and it will be used lots!
London 2012 qualifier!
From the front.
The area in front of the fence (where the mulch pile is) was dug out on Saturday as well and will be a flower bed. Yea...can't wait!
