Ikea Shopping Trip

A week ago last Friday Mom, Mason and I drove to Pittsburgh to visit our nearest Ikea store.
Arriving and seeing the blue and yellow.

Thank-you, Ikea.  We were glad to see you after the two hour drive.  Thankfully Mason did well, as usual, and it was a beautiful, sunny day for driving and shopping.
Mom and dad have been working on redoing their office - painting the walls, ceiling, and trim, sanding and staining the wood floors, and redecorating.  They are planning to use an old wooden door for the desktop and mom wanted to find legs.  Among other things, we got the legs for the door.
We spent our time roaming through the store, marking down what we wanted to buy, and checking out each and every space!
Mason loved the kitchen set and further pushed my desire for our own play kitchen.  I'm still trying to find my favorite.  He was so happy to play for a while in the kids section.
He loved the little pots and pans and even brought home his own set.  He has yet to play with it as it will be saved for when he gets his own kitchen.  But, it was fun to watch him put things in the oven and in the sink.
Loved the little tent as well and did some "hide it" in there, waiting for Nonie to find him.
After our several hour long trip to Ikea was finished, we fueled up with burgers, fries, and a chocolate milkshake at Steak 'n Shake.  Ikea shopping is exhausting and wears you out!  We then shopped for the rest of the day and left for home around 8:30.  Mason was a little trooper (most of the time) and spent the two hour ride home watching Elmo and Curious George.  No sleeping for him!  (Yea for mommy bringing the computer to watch movies!)

Will post pictures of the office once it's done.  The floor is drying...
