Buckhorn Trip

Last Saturday (garage sale day) we headed to Lake Buckhorn, south of Millersburg, with our small group.  We left my mom to man the table (until dad got there) and had fun boating and enjoying the sun with our friends.

 Mason really liked the boat!  He was a quiet observer!

 He and Brian got in the tube right away for his first ride.  He sat on Brian's lap and seemed to enjoy it.

 He never made a peep!

 Next up was mommy's turn to ride with Mason.

 He loved it, I think.  Again, he didn't say anything and also had his eyes closed most of the time.  I wasn't sure if it was because of the sun, the splashing water, or the fact that he was tired.  Still, since there was no crying or screaming, I'm going to guess he liked it!

 Then Brian was debating whether or not he wanted to try wake-boarding.  Hannah went first to show him how it's done.

 It looked like he was going to get it on the first try...

 But, no...down he goes.

 Again and again.  These crashes weren't all from the same try.  He tried numerous times and was always so close, but never got it.

 We'll have to go again when he has more time to accomplish the wake board!  He was so close!

 Jennifer got up on the skis on her second try.  She said she hasn't skied since college, but she still had the knack for it.

 I think Mason was the only one who was excited about the steps.  There were quite a few, and he made sure to take in each and every one.

 After the boat ride was done, we caught up with the rest of the group who was playing at the beach.  We went to the pavilion for sandwiches and sides for lunch.  It was a beautiful morning to spend together and in the water.  Not too hot, but just right for playtime!

 On the ride home...trying very hard not to fall asleep even though it was so close to nap time.  We had our fair share of crying, whining, and sadness...

But the sunglasses helped to stave off the sleep, and a little bit of sadness. Just a little!  Who wouldn't be tired after such a fun morning?!  Mommy and daddy wanted to take a nap too!
