As promised, here are a few pictures of Mason in action in the barn. We arrived just in time to help change cows, meaning scrape the manure, put feed at each stall, and bring the second group of cows in from the free-stall area.
Mason likes to feed cows and help push the feed cart.
Taking his scoop to the bucket to get more feed.
"Feeding". AKA - putting grain on the ground, or if grandpa's boots are there, into the boots. A little present for later...
Grandpa is asking Mason if he's ready to bring the cows in. Do you see the look on Mason's face? I believe he's saying, "Don't leave me!". (On a side note - I think this is Mason's favorite thing to do. He tried to do it by himself a few days ago and ended up a dirty, filthy pig. First time being that dirty!)
Cows are in and Mason's ready to swing. He's getting it all geared up.
Closing the gate. Might be his second favorite thing to do while in the barn. Such a helper!

These are so great. Nothing like raising a boy on a farm :) He'll know how to work hard!
