Building projects

If you've been around Mason recently, you'd know that he has a slight obsession with screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, and most other tools.  He has several plastic tools he carries with him, but he also has some real tools he's allowed to play with...very carefully!
Lucky for Mason, there's been a few "building" assembly projects happening at our house recently.  He got a small table and chairs for Christmas that he helped put together, and a cube organizer for toy storage.
Brian, the ever-patient father, pulled out all the staples holding the box together just enough so that Mason could remove them from the box using a pliers, thinking he did such a helpful job!
Working together to get a stubborn staple out of the box!
Brian gave Mason the important tasks of putting the dowels in the holes and the bolts in the holes as well.  Mason also took on the task of going through the tool box and using each tool or asking what it was for.
As you can imagine, this was such a fun project for Mason.  Soon after the cube unit was completed, Mason asked what project they would work on next!
Perfect for toy storage and still looks nice enough to be in the living room!  And so lovingly put together my the two cute boys in my life!
