Friends

This is Mason - fresh out of bed complete with a small dose of bed head, sleepy eyes, and cozy jammies.

 His friend Veena was coming to visit for the morning and he had to be ready to greet her!

 Veena's mommy and sisters have Bible Study Fellowship on Wednesday and she usually gets to spend the morning with her grandma.  Today we were the lucky ones for the morning!

 She and Mason "played" so nicely.  It took them a bit to warm up to each other even though they've played together before.  It was a bit different this morning since it was just the two of them, no big siblings or other friends causing commotion and ruckus.  Just two little ones, quiet as can be!

 Mason is two months older than Veena.  It will be fun to see their friendship grow in the coming years.

 They read books together and I read a few to them.

 They inspected the toys and even did a bit of sharing!

Then Mason finally got his act together and got dressed!  We have story time at the local library on Wednesday mornings and today Veena went with us.  It was a real trip for me - two, kind of like having twins!  They were both very well behaved and listened so well, even holding hands as instructed when crossing the street.  I tried to get a picture of that sweetness, but as with most things at this age, the hand holding was over before I could capture it!  Believe me -  it was THAT cute!
