Pool Party!

A pool party in January?!  Oh yeah...in our hot basement with our small group.  We started off the evening with burgers, hot dogs, and summery sides.  

 Enjoying those wonderful foods we don't make or taste much in the winter - veggies & dip, salad, burgers, hot dogs, deviled eggs, and pasta salad.  Mmmm...

 Kids table.  Next time we'll have to get out the folding table because the picnic table was just a bit too small for the four of them!

 This little boy did not care for the pool!  I took off his swim trunks thinking he didn't like them.  That didn't solve the problem and he still wanted out!

These kids DID enjoy the pool!  Notice all the wet towels surrounding the pools?

Lifeguard, maybe?  He did enjoy watching all the action from his swing.

The real lifeguards trying to stay cool.  Brian had the furnace pumping heat and it was nice and toasty in the basement!

We ended the evening with brownies and ice cream; another way to enjoy the memories of summer in January!  What a great way to end a fun night!
